But first, we need to bust a prevailing myth…
Myth: Free Hosting Can’t Be Really That Good, Right?
You see, we’re not talking about free hosting like in the 90’s… (remember Yahoo GeoCities, anyone? 😉)
… which was great at that time, but would be barely functional, extremely slow, full of (forced) advertisements, not very reliable, etc.
Today (2021), the big tech/cloud/networking companies offer their services to really everyone.
And these services often come with a generous, free first tier!
That means, we - as online business owners and affiliate marketers - can (and should!) take advantage of these state-of-the-art tech offerings.
Important Hosting Factors, Or: What To Look Out For?
Especially if you’re running paid traffic/media buying campagaigns with your own money, you instinctivly understand the importance of the following factors/requirements of hosting solutions:
- Freedom grade
- Quality of support
With these factors/requirements in mind, let’s take a look at a few, really great, free hosting services:
My Personal Favorite And Choice: Netlify
Netlify is a San Francisco-based cloud computing company.
They offer excellent hosting and serverless backend services for web applications and static websites.
I absolutely love the automated, Git-based, “build and deploy” workflow and their powerful platform to instantly host websites and landing pages via their global network. (CDN)
Custom domains, (zero-config) HTTPS, deploy previews, rollbacks - all no problem with Netlify.
The best part? Their first tier is absolutely free and comes with very generous limits:
- Bandwidth: 100 GB per month
- Build minutes: 300 minutes per month
And even if you need “more” and go for their “pro”-tiers, their pricing is very fair in my opinion.
This site is hosted by Netlify.

According to their documents, with GitLab Pages, you can publish static websites directly from any repository in GitLab.
- Use for any personal or business website.
- Use any Static Site Generator (SSG) or plain HTML.
- Create websites for your projects, groups, or user account.
- Host your site on your own GitLab instance or on GitLab.com for free.
- Connect your custom domains and TLS certificates.
- Attribute any license to your content.
To publish a website with GitLab Pages, you can use any SSG, like Gatsby, Jekyll, Hugo, Middleman, Harp, Hexo, and Brunch, just to name a few.

Firebase projects are backed by Google Cloud, so you know it’s a reliable and scalable solution.
Google Firebase (hosting) has some generous limits to get started:
- Storage: 10 GB
- Data transfer: 360 MB/day
It comes with custom domains & zero-config SSL.
A really great service to try out, if you ask me.

“All This Is Confusing And I’m A Total Beginner!”
Ok, no worries.
I suggest you start with a very newbie-friendly service then, that comes with some level of support.
You can find my top recommendation for you on my resources page here.
If you’re looking for excellent, free, secure, fast, and reliable web hosting for your affiliate landing pages, I’d go with Netlify.
